On Earth Day, April 22, Woodland Elementary partnered with Neighborhood Forest to celebrate the planet! Neighborhood Forest is a nonprofit organization that partners with organizations across the nation to provide free trees to families and students. This is the third year that Woodland has participated in this program.
This year, over 125 students and staff signed up to receive a tree. Mrs. Pietsch's 4th grade class helped to organize and distribute the free white pines. This was a great opportunity for our school to share in the love of planting, volunteering, helping the environment, and celebrating Earth Day!
